.As many of you know, on Sunday, June 17th I announced my intent to retire. At this time I want to personally thank all of you (Bethany's members), the Personnel Committee, and the Bethany Church Council for allowing me to be a part of a wonderful Lutheran Church staff for nearly 40 years. I want to be able to spend more time with my family and enjoy life while I still have the health to do it. It will be bitter sweet to leave such a wonderful place and all of my friends.
My last day of employment was on July 31, 2014. I know you will enjoy having a new person with fresh ideas to work with and help brighten the church outlook. I am sad to be leaving but will enjoy the freedom that retirement allows.
I would like to thank you all for being such an important part of my life and for all the help you have given me. I feel privileged to have dedicated my life to such a wonderful place with such wonderful people.
On August 17, my family will be serving at the coffee hour following fellowship. Please stop down for some fruit, cheese, a cinnamon roll, sweet bread and/or cup of coffee- we would love to see you there. PS (the cinnamon roll recipe will be out in the Anniversary Edition Cookbook in time for Christmas :)
Jeanne has worked as the Director of Parish Ministries since November of 2000, and has worked in the Ark Preschool since 1977! Jeanne retired as the Director of Parish Ministries on July 31, 2014 - but will continue to supervise the Ark Preschool for this year.
EDIT: corrected a typo that originally said that was Director of Parish Ministries since 2011.
