Kim Beck
Pianist
Kim Beck “married into Bethany” in 1988 after tying the knot with her husband, John. She began playing piano at Bethany as the rehearsal accompanist for our Senior Choir and eventually began accompanying them during church services. Currently, she also serves as a worship musician alongside John, playing hymns and special music during our 10:45 a.m. Sunday services. Kim says she doesn’t really consider her work at Bethany a job, but an opportunity to share God’s gifts and point others to Jesus.
Even outside of Bethany, Kim rarely goes a day without sharing music with others. Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, she grew up in Escanaba and attended Western Michigan University for music therapy, putting her degree to work as a music therapist at the Learning Center for over 25 years. Kim also runs a private piano studio out of her home, teaching piano to students of all ages and abilities since 1988.
Kim lives in Escanaba with her husband, John, and her children, Jordan and Kyra. In her spare time, she likes to bake, read, garden, and spend time with her family and dogs.
